Tyre manufacturers recommend changing to Winter tyres once the temperature is 5-7 deg centigrade as the tread on a normal tyre starts to become hard and lose it's grip.
Winter tyres are optimised for lower temperatures, slush and snow & ice.
If you are planning a trip to Europe in some Countries it is now law to have winter tyres fitted.
DUE TO HEAVY DEMAND IN EUROPE, WINTER TYRES IN THE UK ARE IN VERY SHORT SUPPLY.
Winter tyres must be fitted as sets of 4.
