Continental Tyres has been supplying sports goods manufacturer Adidas™ with Traction Compound soles for various segments of the footwear market since 2007.
Ever since their technology-based cooperation began, they have steadily expanded their coverage, until today more than 80 different running, trekking, and outdoor shoes for men and women are on the market. All of these shoes have extremely high-grip soles made from special rubber compounds devised by Continental.
The reasons for the partnership between Continental and Adidas should be obvious.
There are many parallels between tyres and shoes. Tyres are to cars what shoes are to runners - they form the only link with the ground and must ultimately be able to transmit all of the forces involved in braking and accelerating. The rubber compounds specially developed for Adidas by Continental feature particularly high levels of grip on all surfaces, helping runners to conserve energy that would go to waste in a shoe with less grip.

Terms & Conditions
By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other requirements set out in the promotional material.1. Promoter: Camskill UK Ltd, Pottery Road, Whitehaven, CA28 9BZ. Please do not send entries to this address.
2. Promotion open to online customers, resident in the UK aged 17 years . Employees and the immediate families of the promoter, retailer, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion and trade customers (fleet and company vehicle drivers) are not eligible to enter this promotion.
3. Purchase required â€" minimum of 2 Continental Car, Van or 4x4 tyres in a single transaction between 4th May and 31st May 2017. Retail purchases only. Only purchases made at www.camskill.co.uk qualify. Your full name and contact details will be required to enter.
4. The offer: Buy 2 Continental Tyres at www.camskill.co.uk from 04.05.2017-31.05.2017 to qualify for one of four prize draws.
5. There will be four draws:
- Tyres purchased between 4th May and 10th May - Winner to be drawn on 15th May
- Tyres purchased between 11th May and 17th May - Winner to be drawn on 22nd May
- Tyres purchased between 18th May and 24th May - Winner to be drawn on 29th May
- Tyres purchased between 25th May and 31st May - Winner to be drawn on 5th June
6. The Prize. A pair of Adidas trainers with Continental rubber compound soles. Available in UK sizes Ladies 4-8, Mens 7-12. If these are not available in the prize winners shoe size an alternative size will be provided. Sizes are subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Trainer sizes cannot be exchanged or returned. Winners are requested to try on a pair of Adidasâ„? trainers at their local store before ordering. Once ordered prizes cannot be amended. 7. Winner Selection: Winners will be selected at random.
8. Winners will be notified via email within two working days (48 hours) of the draw date. Following notification winners have 72 hours to claim the prize. To claim the prize winners must email their selected shoe size and requested delivery address to sales@camskill.co.uk . Once claimed winners will be mailed the prize within 28 days. If the prize is not claimed within 72 hours, the prize may be reallocated by the Promoter to a reserve winner selected in the same manner. Prizes will be handed out on a first to claim basis. Prizes cannot be returned for another prize.
9. No responsibility can be taken for prizes, which are lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any other reason.
10. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this draw.
11. No alternative is available except in the event of circumstances outside its control, the Promoter when a similar substitute of equal or greater value will be supplied.
12. The prize will only be awarded directly to the winners.
13. Acceptance of the prize authorises the Promoter to publish the name of the winners and the winners are consenting to having publicity photographs and/or video images taken of them for use by the Promoter. Where consent is not provided, or where a winner does not wish to accept the prize, an alternative winner will be selected instead.
14. The Promoter will not be liable for any cancellations, alterations or modifications to the promotion as detailed above or the prizes for any reason which falls outside its reasonable control. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and winners and to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions. The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions and these will be binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
15. Only in circumstances that make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these terms and conditions at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimize the effect to participants.
16. Names and counties of winners will be available on request for a period of 3 months following the closing date by sending a self-addressed envelope to Continental Adidas Campaign, Camskill UK Ltd, Pottery Road, Whitehaven, CA28 9BZ.
17. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
18. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
19. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
20. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless they have your consent.
